Haalarimerkit for Student Guilds — Custom Overall Patches, Made in the EU

Overall patches (haalarimerkit) are how student guilds build identity on the boiler suit — guild crest, subject symbol, year mark, fuksi patches, event patches, sponsor patches. We produce them as embroidered patches by default, with a budget-friendly printed-with-embroidered-border option built specifically for student pricing. Designs are stored, so next year’s board reorders in minutes, not weeks.

No minimum stress — small runs from 10 pcs accepted
Special print-on-textile student offer: 50 pcs, all-in, from €175
Sponsor-funded orders — invoiced to the company, not the guild treasurer’s card
Designs stored — next cohort’s fuksi patches reorder in one email
EU production, fast turnaround before autumn deadlines

Examples of our patches

Common use cases for student guilds

Guild Crest & Fuksi Patches

Main guild symbol plus a smaller fuksi-year patch handed out to new members each autumn.

Sponsor Patches

Small logo or text patch for the company funding the batch — added alongside guild patches on the sleeve.

Event & Committee Patches

Sitsit, Wappu, excursions, board-year patches — one-off runs that still get stored for next year’s version.

Student Budget Offer: Print-on-Textile Patch with Embroidered Border

Guild budgets are tight, especially for fuksi cohorts who need patches fast and cheap. This option skips full embroidery digitising and uses a durable printed textile face with a classic embroidered border — full colour, fine detail, still sewn on properly.

  • 50 pcs, 8 cm circle, sew-on backing
  • €175 total — includes setup/digitising fee, production, and EU shipping
  • Production time: 2–4 business days from order placed
  • No hidden fees — one price, one payment
  • Full colour and fine detail — no thread-count limitations
This is the fastest, most budget-friendly way to get a full fuksi cohort patched before the first sitsit.

Bulk order tiers

Per-patch price drops as batch size grows. Final price depends on size, stitch count or print complexity, and backing type — a formal quote follows your brief. As a rough guide:

  • 50 pcs — smaller fuksi group or a single committee; print-on-textile offer fits best here
  • 100–199 pcs — a full fuksi cohort or the guild’s yearly batch
  • 200–499 pcs — large guild, several cohorts, or a shared order across committees
  • 500+ pcs — federation, umbrella organisation, or multi-guild joint order

Autumn ordering deadlines

Most volume happens in autumn, when fuksit get their overalls and guild colours. To have patches ready before fuksiaiset and the first sitsit season:

  • Confirm design and quantity by early September for October delivery
  • Print-on-textile student offer (2–4 day production) works even for late orders before a specific event
  • Wappu-season patches: order by early March

The sponsor co-funding model

Most guild budgets don’t stretch to a full patch order — sponsorship closes that gap without touching guild funds. It works the same way for every guild:

  1. The guild finds one or more local companies willing to fund the batch — often existing partners, alumni-run firms, or recruiters targeting the field
  2. In exchange, the sponsor gets a small logo or text patch placed alongside the guild patches on the overall sleeve
  3. We invoice the sponsoring company directly — proper invoice, VAT handled correctly, no personal payments from the guild treasurer
  4. The guild gets patches at reduced or zero cost; the sponsor gets a full year of visibility at every guild event

Ask us for a one-page sponsor proposal template your treasurer can forward as-is.

What we produce

  • Embroidered patches — durable, textured, the standard for guild crests and fuksi patches
  • Print-on-textile with embroidered border — the student budget option, full colour, no digitising fee
  • Sew-on backing (standard for overalls — most durable through years of sitsit season)
  • Round, shield, and custom contour shapes
  • Custom thread or print colours matched to guild colours

Reorders made simple

Every approved design becomes a stored Guild Patch Spec: exact size, colours, backing, and border finish. New boards don’t need to rebrief from scratch — they just confirm quantity and any changes.

Service area

We produce in Finland (EU) and ship across the EU with tracking — Finland, Sweden, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and beyond. No customs surprises for EU guilds.

What is haalarimerkki, and how is it different from a normal patch order?

Haalarimerkit are the embroidered or printed patches Finnish and Nordic students sew onto their overalls (haalarit) to show guild membership, year, and achievements. The process is the same as any custom patch order, but batch sizes, budgets, and autumn timing are specific to student guild culture — which is what this offer is built around.

What’s included in the €175 student offer?

50 pieces, 8 cm circle, sew-on backing, print-on-textile face with embroidered border. Setup/digitising fee, production, and EU shipping are all included in the €175 — no separate fees added at checkout.

How does sponsor funding actually work?

The guild finds a company willing to fund the batch — often an alumni employer or recruiting partner. The sponsor’s logo or text goes on a small patch alongside the guild’s own patches. We invoice the sponsor directly, so no guild funds or personal cards are involved.

When should we order for autumn fuksi season?

Confirm design and quantity by early September to have patches ready before fuksiaiset in October. The print-on-textile student offer has a 2–4 day production time, so it also works for last-minute orders tied to a specific event.

Can next year’s board reorder the same design?

Yes. Every approved design is stored as a Guild Patch Spec with exact size, colours, and backing. Reorders are a quick confirmation, not a new brief.
